A Michael de Adder cartoon about Jim Acosta leaving CNN has created a bond between the two.
The Daily Mail noticed the respect and appreciation the two shared:
Jim Acosta appeared to take a swipe at his old network CNN this week, a little more than a day after his pointed on-air sign-off.
The journalist shared a scathing sketch from editorial cartoonist Michael de Adder – one that showed him leaving the station with a box of his belongings.
In the background, Acosta’s shadow loomed purposely larger than his smiling cartoon, with the word ‘integrity’ emblazoned over it.
And Michael noticed that Jim shared the editorial cartoon on Bluesky.
The Daily Mail went on to note the support for Acosta and the enjoyment with the de Adder cartoon by Acosta’s colleagues and by the famous and not-so-famous. The Mail also pointed out:
On Wednesday, a now-independent Acosta took to both Bluesky and Instagram [links added] to re-share De Adder’s cartoon, while limiting the comments and notably avoiding Elon Musk’s X.
