Sunday Flash Gordon joins The Pickens County Courier comics lineup
The last couple weeks has seen the Sunday Flash Gordon comic strip by Dan Schrade, as distributed by the King Features Weekly Service, added to The Pickens County Courier comics page. Out on a Limb by Gary Kopervas was dropped, but can be read, on a one week delay for some reason, at The Cheyenne Post.
Late (belated) breaking Harley Schwadron news
Long time magazine cartoonist and current 9 to 5 daily TCA newspaper panel creator Harley Schwadron joined the Cagle Cartoons head count last month.
It was Peter Arno’s birthday yesterday
Arno explained that this was always the way he worked: drawing many different variations of the cartoon until he was satisfied. Casson repeated that it was so much work, drawing a large size finished piece over and over and over again.
“But you don’t understand,” explained Arno, motioning to the 20 cartoons, “This is my favorite part.”
