NCS Divisional Reuben Alert and Reminders for Award Deadlines

The National Cartoonists Society (NCS) has issued a notice that they will soon be issuing a Call For Entries for the Divisional (aka Silver) Reuben Awards.
In January, the NCS will announce Call For Entries for our annual Divisional Awards. These awards recognize artistic excellence for work that debuted in 2024 across a wide range of cartoon arts.
We hope you will submit! It is FREE and you do NOT need to be an NCS member.
So cartoonists start thinking about what your submission will contain. Between celebrating the Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/New Years season, with the kids home for three weeks for Winter Break, and your daily deadline there should be a bit of time to give this some thought. Oh, and these reminders:
Canada’s National Newspaper Awards deadline for filing Editorial Cartooning submissions is January 9, 2025.
The Pulitzer Prize deadline for Illustrated Reporting and Commentary is January 27, 2025.
The Overseas Press Club deadline for The Best Cartoon Award is January 31, 2025.
The Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Journalism Award deadline for Best Cartoon is January 31, 2025.
The Sigma Delta Chi deadline for Editorial Cartooning is February 11, 2025.
The National Headliner Award deadline for Editorial Cartoon is February 16, 2025.
And the Herblock Prize folks should be announcing their Call For Entries soon.
