Editorial cartooning Events

Missed: MAGA Memes and Momala Mimicry

There was a big cartooning event in Washington DC today I knew nothing about until it was over.

The Institute for Democracy, Journalism & Citizenship at Syracuse University held an event featuring editorial cartoonists Matt Wuerker, editorial cartoonist and illustrator, POLITICO; Ann Telnaes, editorial cartoonist, The Washington Post; Michael Ramirez, editorial cartoonist, Las Vegas Review-Journal; Pedro X. Molina, Counterpoint Media and Confidencial, Nicaragua; and award-winning cartoonists Vladimir Kazanevsky (Ukraine) and Rachita Taneja (India).

Thanks to Mike Rhode at Comics DC we have a photo report of the event.

  1. I’ll fix the aspect ratios on these late today, and try to add a few photos. It was a good event.

  2. I admire our brave, extraordinarily talented, political cartoonists! What an interesting, but sobering event. Thank you to Syracuse and all of the participants!
