In 1997 Dan Martin was the only cartoonist in America to get
a front page cartoon published every day in his newspaper.
On October 17, 1997 he invaded the inside of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch when the paper published the cartoonist’s Postcard from Mound City for the first time (above).

In 2022 Dan Martin remains the only cartoonist in America to
get a front page cartoon published every day in his newspaper.
And twenty-five years later he still entertains the natives of the opinion page of The Post-Dispatch with his weekly Postcard from Mound City. Though we are slightly disappointed he didn’t celebrate the silver anniversary this past Saturday (below). Perhaps next week we get a quadranscentennial cartoon?
