Autoptic Festival – August 13 and 14, 2022

We have some exciting news to share: Autoptic Festival is returning as an in-person event on Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th, 2022. This year’s festival will feature the debut of our new two-day split schedule format with our floor show exhibition on Saturday and all of our panels and Programing on Sunday.

The Twin Cities Pioneer Press (via MSN) carries a story about the Festival:

Calling all fans of comics, zines, posters and other printed materials. The Autoptic Festival returns in-person Saturday, Aug. 13, and Sunday, Aug. 14, for a celebration of the best of DIY print culture.

This premier comic and independent print festival, the first since 2018, will include panels, workshops, interviews, book signings and a floor exhibition where more than 120 artists will display their art, sell their work and meet the public. This juried, biannual event, presented by Autoptic Foundation, is free and open to the public.

The Autoptic Festival has more details (guests, panels, exhibitors) here.

I admit to not recognizing most of the special guests, though one name stands out.

Highlighted here to beg Jim Keefe to make his new zine available to all of us.

  1. I have a couple art festivals coming up this fall, including Autoptic (in Minneapolis) and Cartoon Crossroads in Columbus, Ohio October 8-9th. If I have any zines left over I’ll see what I can do as far as offering them online. Thanks for the interest!
