Randy Hugh Farb
August 27, 1960 – July 24, 2022
A retired librarian with Flint Public Library, he achieved a Master of Library Science from Indiana University-Southeast. Randy led services at area synagogues in Flint, Michigan, and taught Sunday school in the congregations of Louisville, principally at The Temple. He was also a member of Keneseth Israel Congregation, assisted Rabbi Solomon Roodman with Jewish food inspections, and served as teacher/librarian at the Kentucky College of Business.
Randy was the author of self-published short story collections “Shuffleboard” (2012) and “No Paprika in Heaven” (2014). In addition, he collaborated with Mark Messler as co-author of the print and online Jewish comic strip “4 Corners,” editor of the book “Zeyde and the Hidden Mine” and longtime contributor to the virtual House of Seven Beggars Synagogue.
4 Corners Comics was created by Rabbi Aryel Nachman ben Chaim and Reb Reuven in 1998. The strip was first published in the Flint Jewish News in September 2000.
