Word has reached The Daily Cartoonist that Hy Eisman is recovering from health issues.
With Hy’s permission we can report that he is home rehabilitating
and recovering from a procedure that cauterized a bleeding ulcer.
Hy is being cared during recuperation by his lady Cary and daughters Mindy and Merle.
Hy, who turned 95 this past March, has plans to return to the Sunday Popeye.
While awaiting for his return King Features is running old Popeye strips by Hy.
