The Phantom vs. The Python – The Chatu Chapters

In a Sunday story arc running April 6 to September 28, 2003 Tony DePaul and Graham Nolan introduced Chatu, called Python, into the world of The Phantom.

The episode ended with no winner.

Chatu would return three years later (May 15 – September 2, 2006) in The Daily Phantom
with Paul Ryan as artist.

The Python became a fan favorite villain and a recurring thorn in the side of The Phantom,
next appearing in the dailies September 1 – December 27, 2008.

Then in a series of daily stories stretching nearly two years:

Finally! Chatu defeated!

So naturally Chatu returns in the dailies from April 21 – August 23, 2014.

All these adventures are now collected as a book.

This book has been in the making for sometime and now Regal Publishers have announced their very first trade paperback collection and is already on preorder and scheduled to come out in a week.

The Trade paperback titled ‘The Phantom: Terror of The Python – The Chatu Saga‘ is a 256 page, full colour, English release with glossy inside pages. The TPB collects the bulk of The Chatu stories in chronological order along with bonus material.

Good News! But there is bad news:

As per normal due to licensing limitations, Regal Publishers can only sell & ship to addresses within India – so for Phans living outside India, I recommend you befriend an Indian Phan & have these books bought & shipped to you by them.
