From the obituary:

Jayson J. Martin, 45, of Manchester NH, died on December 30th, 2021, after succumbing to a lengthy illness.

[Jay] was a graduate of Manchester West High School class of 1995, followed by an Associate’s degree in Graphic Design from the University of NH.

A very talented artist, he won many awards for his work, including his famed comic strip, “Way up North” which was published in multiple papers across NH. Jayson’s comic was embraced by the Steamboat Springs, CO community where his iconic character Miles, could be found at the top of the Morningside chairlift on the weather board welcoming skiers to the summit of Storm Peak, CO.

Jay Martin’s Way Up North comic strip regularly appeared in The Bow Times, the monthly newspaper of Bow, N. H., for years. The last comic strip appearing there was in the September 2021 issue.
