Great Britain Political Cartoon of the Year Awards

Ellwood Atfield, the communications and advocacy headhunter, was delighted to host again the Political Cartoon of the Year Awards. We are delighted to announce the 2021 winning Political, Pocket and COVID Cartoons and Cartoonist’s.

The winners for this British award were announced December 9, 2021.

 

The Low Trophy for the Political Cartoonist of the Year
Ben Jennings – The Guardian

Gillray Goblet for the Political Cartoon of the Year
Peter Schrank – The Times

 

The Sir Osbert Lancaster Award for Pocket Cartoonist of the Year
Jeremy Banx – Financial Times

The Mel Calman Award for the Pocket Cartoon of the Year
Matt – The Daily Telegraph

 

COVID Cartoon of the Year
Henny Beaumont – The Guardian

 

Runner-up – The Strube Spoon for the runner up Political Cartoonist of the Year
Patrick Blower – The Daily Telegraph

Runner-up – Tenniel Tankard for the runner-up Political Cartoon of the Year
Graeme Bandeira – Yorkshire Post

Runner-up – Pocket Cartoon of the Year
James Mellor – Private Eye

The Guardian lauded their winning cartoonists:

Guardian cartoonists had a successful night at the Political Cartoon of the Year awards 2021.

Ben Jennings was named political cartoonist of the year for his portfolio throughout a turbulent year, while Henny Beaumont won Covid cartoon of the year for Lost Generation, a cartoon published in June about the plight of young people during the pandemic.
