Cartoonists Run Amok

Yeah, I know what you’re thinking, “Cartoonists Run Amok,” is SOP.

But this is an exhibit and greet & meet by NCS members of the Philadelphia Chapter

Friday December 10 from 5–8:30pm, check out the National Cartoonists Society of Philadelphia’s gallery opening, curated by Moore’s own adjunct professor Andrea Beizer!

Would you like to see professional cartoonists at work? Now you can. Come meet members of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society as they chat and draw away. Philly cartoonists will sign their work (great gifts!). Original cartoons, books, cups, cards and other items will be for sale. The show is open until January 29, 2022.

National Cartoonists Society Philadelphia chapter members attending:

Andrea Beizer: Creator of the cartoon strip Alice. Alice is syndicated with the Ink Bottle Syndication, LLC. and appears monthly in the Humor Times Magazine. Alice has been exhibited at the Philadelphia International Airport, as well as galleries in and around Philadelphia.

Dave Blazek: Creator of the Washington Post syndicated panel cartoon Loose Parts, seen daily in the The Inquirer. Loose Parts is a two-time winner and six-time nominee of the Reuben Award for America’s Best Newspaper Panel Cartoon.

Pat Higgins: Award winning illustrator, cartoonist and graphic designer. Recent books include: Pulp Bytes and The Covidiot Files.

Tom Stiglich: Creators Syndicate editorial cartoonist and Reuben Awards nominee whose cartoons have appeared in papers all over including The Inquirer.

Rob Tornoe: Cartoonist and staff writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer. His work appears in a variety of publications, including the Washington Post and the New York Times.

Signe Wilkinson: Recently retired from delighting & offending political sensibilities with her award-winning Editorial cartoons and comic strips.
