Sunday Funnies – August 28, 1921
Skip to commentsLike most comics sections in 2021 the Sunday color supplements of August 28, 1921 were almost all four pages. A main difference was that instead of six to nine comic strips per page, the Sunday pages then usually carried one comic strip – occasionally two (the “topper” strips hadn’t yet been invented).
The strips were in color but our samples come from black and white microfilm via newspapers.com,
all strips are public domain.
Clicking on images will open comic in a separate window,
clicking on that image will supersize (some more than others),
using Ctrl + or – will adjust to a reading preference.
