Advertising artist and cartoonist Cliff Witkowski has passed away.

From the obituary:

Cliff was a U.S Naval company commander at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center and aboard the USS Eversol DD789 during the Cold War. After his military service, he attended The Chicago Institute of Art, The American Academy of Art and The Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. Upon completion he returned to South Bend and founded Witkowski Art Studio and worked out of the home studio for over 35 years. During this time Cliff and Jo worked on numerous local, regional and national creative accounts.

After officially retiring Cliff pursued his love of cartooning and created “GI WOES”.
