Fun with Philately – Message Monsters

The United States Postal Service has announced their planned stamps to be issued for 2021, and while there are no explicit comic strip or cartoon characters being honored as there was this past year, there is a cartooning related set of stamps that looks great.

The four fun designs on this new pane of 20 stamps invite interactivity with dozens of self-adhesive accessories that personalize your cards, letters and envelopes for delighted recipients. Decorations include hearts, hats, voice balloons, flowers and thought bubbles. Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the pane with new illustrations by Elise Gravel.

The design by Antonio Alcalá and art by Elise Gravel will bring smiles to recipients.
If nothing else while you use the stamps the little ones can stick the “dozens of self-adhesive accessories” to furniture, appliances, and walls all over your house.

The release date is yet to be announced.

If only Antonio had gotten Lalo Alcaraz to draw those Day of the Dead stamps.

Hat tip to Elise’s Twitter feed for the full Message Monsters pane.
