Cartoonists Look at Police Brutality

above: “We could say he threatened us with a knife… If we had a knife!”

The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum has posted a blog entry featuring original art of cartoonists looking at police brutality. Mostly from the 1980s and 1990s with a couple recent ones and a couple from The Sixties.

That Billy Ireland post led me to do a “police brutality” search at Cagle Cartoons. The first page or so has a lot of protest and looting cartoons mixed in, but then it goes to a more defined look at the issue.

Ted Rall is not indifferent to charges of police brutality.

Keith Knight can relate more than most of us.

Keith’s lecture/presentation can bring it up close and personal to your community.
