When Román briefly dipped his pen in American comic books Mark Evanier was his editor and the writer of his stories, Mark remembers Román on the occasion of his passing.

For almost 15 years, from late 1975 to early 1990, Román was the daily artist of the Mickey Mouse comic strip (He drew the Sundays from 1983-1990).
