Fire at The Center for Cartoon Studies
Skip to commentsNew Hampshire’s Valley News is reporting that a fire damaged the second floor of the Colodny Building in White River Junction. The Center for Cartoon Studies uses the ground floor which had water damage from sprinklers. The Colodny Building serves the CCS as a multi-use area, including, on occasion, exhibits; though no exhibit was being held at the time.
On Facebook the CCS offered more information:
We’re all okay and grateful for your support! The fire was contained to a unit above our Colodny space, sprinklers caused damage to our space. We are temporarily relocating our staff from the Colodny to one of our other campus buildings. We appreciate everyone’s interest and desire to help us. Please hold tight, we’ll know what our needs are in the coming days. Classes are still on schedule, our semester begins January 13th. -Thanks from all of us at CCS!
We are relieved everyone is okay, and hope it doesn’t interfere with
the judging of the Cartoonist Studio Prize later this month.
