Cartoonist Charlie Daniel was born December 14, 1929;
today he becomes. in our parlance, a Senior Stripper.

For 60 years, from 1958 to 2019, Charlie was cartooning for Knoxville, Tennessee.
Charlie was let go by Gannett early this year.
Charlie has been honored throughout his career, most recently being awarded the Distinguished Artist Award as part of the Tennessee Governor’s Arts Awards:
