McDonnell and Mutts’ Tributes to Album Art

Patrick McDonnell’s Mutts is famous for a number of reasons, among them is his gentle-but-great humor, his sensitivity to the plight of animals, and his fantastic artistic abilities. Another famed feature are the homages that make up his title panels.

There are dozens of examples throughout the years of his homages to artists such as Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, and The Beatles. Here are a few examples
