Stephan Pastis offered up the originals of two Pearls Before Swine
signed Sunday strips to help benefit STEM Preparatory Schools.
Founded in 2015 through the merger of several highly successful schools, STEM Preparatory Schools operates public charter schools in the West Adams and Jefferson Park neighborhoods of South Los Angeles. We are committed to disrupting the status quo of inequitable access to high quality STEM pathways for women and minorities by cultivating a family of students and staff who solve problems through collaboration, innovation, passion, and perseverance.
Last week Stephan informed his Twitter and Facebook followers:
I’m auctioning off two of the most popular Pearls strips from the past few years. All proceeds go toward giving scholarships to underprivileged kids.
Offered through eBay for Charity, 100% of the sale benefited STEM Preparatory Schools.
The above Sunday, one of Stephan’s (in)famous pun strips, went for $3930.00.
The other Sunday, featuring a Family Circus cameo, had a winning bid of $3300.00.
