For 19 years before 2000, and now for 19 years after 2000 (and including the year 2000) Garry B. Trudeau has designed a collectible button for the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival featuring his Doonesbury comic strip characters. Above is the 2019 button.
Look at the previous 39 buttons from 1981 to 2018 (2016 had two buttons).

Since 2012 Garry has also designed posters for his hometown carnival.
