A recent letter to the editor in The (Salem, Ore.) Statesman Journal cited the December 15th “B.C.” as insensitive in the current #metoo climate:
From the letter:
The daily syndicated strip depicts a caveman carrying a very large club and being asked by another character if he has a “big date tonight?” Is this really funny in a time when the #metoo (movement) is making a difference for women and bringing out many long-held secrets? I see nothing funny in insinuating a large club (needs to be) taken on a date.
