King Features Celebrates Popeye’s 90th with New Look, Videos

George Gene Gustines over at The New York Times covers the news that King Features has retooled the look and feel of Popeye and has created new animations to commemorate his 90th birthday.

From the piece:

“He’s younger, but you can’t tell how old he is,” said C. J. Kettler, the president of King Features, which syndicates the “Popeye” strip. “He’s not an old guy, he’s not a young guy, he’s somewhere in between.”
