Paul Conrad: Enemy of the President

Over the last 150 years there were and are many great editorial cartoonists, you can name your favorites and I can name mine. There are fewer that we deem a Master of the Craft.

Paul Conrad was a Master.

Paul Conrad often claimed that making President Richard Nixon’s enemies list in 1973 was one of his proudest accomplishments.

Conrad’s cartoons didn’t have a lot of humor, preferring to smack you right in the face with reality.

Don’t know why* Sam Gnerre and The Daily Breeze decided to write a tribute to Paul Conrad,
but it’s always a good time to remember a Master.

*update – The catalyst for the appreciation was probably the death of Paul’s widow Kay.
