Manafort Courtroom Sketch Artists

There are three sketch artists in the courtroom for Paul Manafort‘s financial crimes trial.

Reuters is using the artwork of William (Bill) Hennessy, Jr.

The Associated Press is going with Dana Verkouteren.

NPR has the talents of Art Lien.

Network and cable news seem to be gravitating toward the Hennessy drawings.

Hennessy was the artist Stephen Colbert used for an animated intro the other night.

The only review of these courtroom sketches is on Dan Abram’s Law & Crime site, where Matt Naham prefers Bill Hennessy’s work over that of Jane Rosenberg‘s art during the Tom Brady and Bill Cosby trials.

A CBS Sunday Morning piece about sketch artists from October 2017.
