Erik Pederson at the San Gabriel Valley (Calif.) Tribune does a short profile of Korean-American cartoonist Dami Lee. Lee’s new book from Chronicle, “Be Everything at Once” hits the streets on August 7th.
From the story:
So are her parents wishing she had a more traditional career path that didn’t include cartooning?
“Not really, because in Korea comics are actually very popular. It’s very much part of the culture there, so my parents have always been very supportive of what I do,” said Lee. “I’m just very grateful for that.”
