Every cartoonist knows that at sometime there will be a syndicated comic strip, done weeks ago, that lands in the newspapers at a very inopportune time.

Michael Fry and T. Lewis, who have been doing Cliffsnotes TV gags this week, are enjoying the opposite with today’s Over the Hedge.

Michael about today’s strip says,

I wrote this two weeks ago. In my entire syndicated career (33 years) I’ve never had a comic land this topically. Even a blind cartoonist finds an acorn once in a while.
