New Startup looking for Editorial Cartoonist

As the AAEC tells us,

Fourth Estate, a startup dedicated to “fostering, supporting and incubating a sustainable and vibrant free press” is looking to add a freelance cartoonist to their team.

Following the link at the AAEC we find the Fourth Estate mission:

To contribute to a healthy society by fostering, supporting and incubating a sustainable and vibrant free press.

Futhermore, they are an “international public benefit membership organization”, with membership dues based on country of residence.
While the AAEC did contact them, the AAEC message doesn’t attest to the new organization’s legitimacy. Though submitting samples can’t hurt; and they are offering pay – not just exposure.

The Fourth Estate’s homepage showcases a Jeff Koterba cartoon, though it doesn’t give credit. But they appear to have permission as they are selling the image on t-shirts.

The Fourth Estate’s Washington DC address is a virtual address
which is apparently the norm for cloud-based operations.
