Barney Google and Snuffy Smith cartoonist John Rose was was recently honored with the Lum And Abner Memorial Award by the National Lum and Abner Society for his contributions to rural humor through the strip. The Lum and Abner was a popular network radio comedy program that aired from 1931 to 1954. Congrats to John.
