Charlie Hebdo cartoonist Luz to leave in September

New York Times reports Charlie Hebdo cartoonist Renald Luzier AKA Luz is leaving the publication.

“The time came when it was just all too much to bear. There was next to nobody to draw the cartoons. I ended up doing three or every four front-pages. Every print-run was torture because the others are no longer there,” said Luz.

Read the whole thing. Sounds like he’s overwhelmed by not only the attack as much as carrying on afterward. He has my best regards.

  1. Sad but understandable.

Charlie Hebdo has got to face a problem now – all the popular cartoonists have been killed by the muslim lunatics but the readers want to see fresh and funny cartoons every week. As far as I know the editors asked some cartoonists but couldn’t find any who want the job.
