Toonseum hires news executive director

The Toonseum has announced it has found a new interim executive director to replace founder Joe Wos who left in September.

From the press release:

The ToonSeum is proud to announce Tammy Aupperle as the new interim executive director of Pittsburgh’s cartoon museum. Ms. Aupperle is the Principal of TB Aupperle Consulting, LLC, which specializes in strategic planning, project planning, capacity building and philanthropy. Prior to starting her consulting business, Ms. Aupperle served as Chair of the H.J. Heinz Company Foundation. She comes to the ToonSeum with more than 20 years of experience in advancing social change in the foundation, corporate responsibility and non-profit sectors.

I don’t know anything about Tammy beyond what is written above. I would have thought they would go for someone with an artistic/cartooning background, but maybe that’s not what they need right now.
