The Simpsons make good on threat to kill off character

Producers of The Simpsons hinted last fall that they would be killing off a character. Last night on the season premiere they made good on that promise. Krusty’s father, Rabbi Hyman Krustofski died while “Krusty was seeking validation from his father.”

From The Daily Mail:

Krusty, whose real name is Herschel Krustofski, later sought out his father and asked him what he really thought about him as a performer and comedian.

‘If you want to know my honest opinion of you, you?ve always been? Eh,’ his father replied before dying in his chair.
