Reminder: we’re days away from InkTober challenge

Just a reminder (or notice if this is new information), Jake Parker’s InkTober challenge starts on October 1. The challenge is boils down to doing one ink drawing a day during the month of October.

From Jake’s website:

Every October, artists all over the world take on the InkTober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month. I created InkTober in 2009 as a challenge to improve my inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavor with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year.

Anyone can do InkTober, just pick up a pen and start drawing.

To participate, do a ink drawing everyday in October and posted on your social media channel of choice with the hashtag #inktober.

  1. This would be a great thing to push me to ink more.

  2. Ha!

    I’m in…

I wish we had this social media stuff back when I was a kid. Who knows, maybe with that extra push of community support and easy networking, I might have stuck with my art and dream of becoming a cartoonist/comic book artist instead of “outgrowing” it.

I am definitely IN for #InkTober…

I just started up on Instagram today, so that’s where I’ll be posting mine…

Do those hashtags work on IG, just like on Twitter? I’m a social media noob. Sorry.

  3. The WebComic Creators group on Facebook has a location where people can share their Inktober Inks, if any artists would like to have a central location with other people.
