Cartoonist Hi Neigher turned 100 years old on Sunday

Hi Neigher turned 100 years old on Sunday. He spent some of his years in Hollywood drawing Popeye, Betty Boop and even worked on Disney’s Fantasia.

From Garry Brown of The Republican (MA):

He has been to Hollywood and back as an illustrator. He has been a newspaperman and an advertising man, bringing boundless energy and good humor to whatever the task at hand.

Hi could have been a standup comic, but he didn?t have time.

Example: ?I played golf today at Twin Hills. A good round ? found three balls.?

Yes, Hi has always loved to laugh at the world, and at himself.
