Comic strips Syndicates WPWG

Dave Blazek Loose Parts moves to WPWG

Loose Parts creator Dave Blazek has announced that he is moving syndicates in September. Dave’s panel has been syndicated through Tribune Content Agency but starting September 25, the strip will be distributed by Washington Post Writers Group.

Dave tells me, “I had a great run with the Tribune and the people were wonderful. But as Loose Parts enters its 15th year of syndication, the lure of working with Amy Lago and seeing where Jeff Bezos is taking the Washington Post company was just too hard to pass up. Besides, as I understand it, I get to throw dinner rolls at George Will at the annual Holiday Party.”

Loose Parts was nominated for the National Cartoonists Society’s Best Newspaper Panel Cartoon division award in 2010.

  2. Nice to hear, Dave! A great choice! Amy Lago and WPWG are both fantastic! Best of luck.

  3. Funny, they just sent me a bathroom key with the name Lester on it. Wonder what that’s all about …

  4. Sure. Leave. Go ahead. Who needs you? I’ll just stay here then. Can I have your stapler?

  5. Jeff, you can have the stapler. Oh, and I left some shrimp in the lunchroom cupboard. You can have that, too. Don’t thank me. I have a heart as big as the all outdoors.
