  1. Wow! Mort looks great! (Hilary too). I’m officially jealous. By a strange coincidence I started to reread Mort’s book just a couple of days back.

  2. Every chance I get, I talk up Mort’s book “Backstage at the Strips,” which is about the best book about the cartooning life–and particularly the mid-century Golden Age cartooning life–I know. It’s great.

I think we take Mr. Walker for granted and don’t give him enough credit. He’s been working at the top of his field for more than 50 years. This was a nice post to read.

  3. Iconic…like Luke meeting Yoda! Fun post, Hilary.

  4. God bless Mr. Walker* (for the Ghost Who Walks… lol) … I’m glad he’s still active producing Beetle. Hard to believe he’s been drawing Beetle for almost 65 years *whew* 🙂

  5. One of the nicest and most fan-friendly guys you could ever hope to meet. He’s a national treasure.
