Dick Locher exhibit runs Aug 20 – Sept 28

From the Chicago Tribune:

North Central College will showcase works by artist Dick Locher in an exhibit titled “Dick Locher: A Hometown Artist” presented by Naper Settlement Aug. 22 through Sept. 28.

The exhibit is free and open to the public in the College’s Schoenherr Gallery at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville. An artist reception will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25; complimentary refreshments will be served.

Locher’s ability to capture the absurdities of life through political cartooning culminated in his winning the Pulitzer Prize in 1983 and garnering top honors from the Sigma Delta Chi/Society of Professional Journalists in the same year.

What a career Dick has had. Glad to see he and his work is getting this attention.
