Comic strips

On a Claire Day comes to an end

On a Claire Day creators Carla Ventresca and Henry Beckett have announced that they are bringing their comic strip to an end. The feature launched eight years ago, but as Carla writes, “we?ve done it for eight years now, and with all that?s happened with the newspaper business (going away, basically!) we?ve had to bring this to an end.” The feature will still be available at Comikka.com.

  1. No room for nice, quiet little comics in the current market. What a shame. I’m gonna miss this one.

  2. I don’t understand Mike’s comment at all. Isn’t the whole newspaper a collection of the nicest, quietest, blandest comics possible?

  3. Sad to hear. I will miss it’s energy…it’s a beautifully drawn strip with a unique sweetness! Bravo and Brava to Henry and Carla!

  4. Sorry to see this one go. Was nice to see such a lesser style drawn comic and clever humour…the pages will be less without it…
