NCSF helps fund Kenosha Festival of Cartooning

Kenosha Festival of Cartooning organizer Anne Hambrock has announced that the National Cartoonists Society Foundation has made a generous grant to the festival which, in addition to the successful Indiegogo campaign, covers 95% of the anticipated expenses.

The foundation will specifically sponsor the charity auction on September 27. Proceeds for that auction will go to the local children’s hospital clinic and a school for autistic children. It should also be noted that the NCSF was also a generous supporter of the Kenosha Festival in 2012.

Much deserved assistance to Anne who has worked hard to connect cartooning the public. Much thanks to the NCSF for their support to this wonderful festival.

  1. Thanks Alan!

Just to clarify, while the NCSF is sponsoring the auction 100%, their grant is ALSO helping us cover major expenses for the entire three days of the festival.

Without their support it is doubtful that we could have invited so many terrific artists or scheduled any gallery shows.

I cannot overstate enough how important their support has been to us!

Thank you Steve McGarry and everyone on the NCSF board who greenlighted this grant!
