Ohman, Smith, Pritchett win Best of West

We’re in full awards season now. The latest announcement is the results of the Best of the West contest. The Best of the West is a journalism contest for papers, magazines and news websites operating in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

In the category of editorial cartooning, the first place honor went to Sacramento Bee cartoonist Jack Ohman for cartoons regarding NSA spying and the government shutdown. Second place went to Mike Smith of the Las Vegas Sun and third place went to John Pritchett of Honolulu Civil Beat.

Congratulations, gentlemen.
