Tunisian released from prison after presidential pardon

From Yahoo NEWS:

A Tunisian jailed for posting caricatures of the Muslim Prophet Mohammed online was freed Tuesday, his lawyer said, two weeks after securing a presidential pardon.

Mejri had been jailed for seven and half years in jail for posting the cartoons on his Facebook page.

Bad reporting. Jabeur Mejri didn’t spend seven and a half years in jail. He was arrested in 2012 – seven and half years AFTER he posted cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed on his Facebook page.

Regardless, he’s free now, but the story doesn’t mention the status of the embezzlement charges that were levied against him serendipitously as he was receiving the presidential pardon.?
