Iron Man director courted for live-action Jungle Book remake

Disney wants to make a live-action version of the classic tale “Jungle Book.” Deadline Hollywood reports that the studio wants Iron Man director Jon Favreau to helm the project. Disney made an animated feature film of the story back in 1967. While Favreau’s recent work is with comics book and graphic novels adaptations (Iron Man, Cowboys and Aliens), he has produced family features such as Elf.

In related news, Bleeding Cool is reporting that Warner Bros is also interested in producing a live-action feature based on Jungle Book.
