53 – the company that created the Paper app for iPad have now released Pencil – a stylus for their app.

I’ve used Paper before, but mostly for sketching. Maybe someone who uses the app in a more serious fashion can tell us how they use it. My take based on the app and what they’re promoting with the stylus is a more natural intuitive drawing experience.
At $50 this stylus seems overpriced (that’s the introductory price) and it doesn’t appear to be pressure sensitive.
It’s a good enough app, but I feel I’m “stuck” inside of it when using it, not able to port ideas as easily to other apps or the computer as needed. But the in-app purchases are what makes me not use it often.
I got a kick out of the video that the Pencil was sharpened. I give the 53 people high marks for paying attention to detail and experience, but at the end of the day, I agree with Michael – too much in-app purchases for things that come standard in other apps.
Does anyone know if this will work on iPad 2, or i it only on later models?
Nevermind – found the answer on their site – it does NOT work with the iPad 2.
Pencil activates all the in-app purchase features, so you won’t need to buy them separately.
