Shannon Wheeler releases second rejected New Yorker cartoon collection

Too Much Coffee Man creator Shannon Wheeler’s first collection of rejected New Yorker cartoons (I Thought You Would Be Funnier) won an Eisner award. He’s releasing a second collection called, “I Don?t Get It” through Boom!

You?ve got to be pretty funny when your rejected cartoons win an Eisner, but that?s what happened to Shannon Wheeler (Too Much Coffee Man) with I Thought You Would Be Funnier, a collection of his cartoons?including many rejected by The New Yorker?which won an Eisner for Best Humor Publication in 2011.

Well, there?s more where that came from, and Boom has just announced I DON?T GET IT, a followup volume including more cartoons floating around Wheeler?s brain. If you?re already on board with Wheeler?s brand of absurdist humor, you?ve already pre-ordered a copy. If not, there?s still time. The book ships in December and has an introduction by fellow funny-man Keith Knight.

The book is part of the Boomtown, creator-owned imprint at Boom!, which has a more ?indie comics? focus.
