For the second time, Slate is holding a contest for best graphic novel and webcomic. Last year’s winners were Chris Ware and Noelle Stevenson. The prize is $1,000 each and this year a sponsor, Copic, is kicking in $250 of art supplies. The judging will be done by Slate Book Review editor Dan Kois, faculty and students of the Center for Cartoon Studies and Christopher Butcher, founder of the Toronto Comic Arts Festival.
