Gene Weingarten earns Ernie Pyle Lifetime Achievement award

Gene Weingarten, best known for his Below the Beltway humor column in the Washington Post and his comic strip Barney & Clyde, has been nominated for the 2014 Ernie Pyle Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is conferred by the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. He’ll receive the award next June during their annual conference.
