Palestinian cartoonist released from Israeli prison

Palestinian cartoonist Mohammed Sabaaneh was released from Israeli prison earlier this week. He was arrested in February on his way back from a conference in Jordan. Mohammed is the editorial cartoonist at the al-Hayat al-Jadida newspaper and is also works at the Arab American University in the public relations department. He was initially held without trial or being formally charged but then later sentenced to five months for “contacts with a hostile organization.”
