With better special effects and better writing, super-hero movies have been doing really well in theaters in the last decade. Sure there have been some stinkers, but when you think of Batman, The Avengers, Ironman, many have done quite well. Directors finally figured out that treating the comic book movies more like action thrillers make entertaining. Unfortunately Superman hasn't enjoyed that kind of treatment. The new movie due out on June 14 looks to change that.
Here's the latest trailer:
Here's to hope it does well. I'd like to see the Man of Steel do well.
Well, that trailer is certainly better than the previous ones. Based on the many comments I’ve read online, many people weren’t being persuaded that this movie would (finally) be the “Dark Knight of Superman” films.
“It’s not an ‘S’. On our world it means ‘hope’.” Huh? Oh, the audacity!
let’s forget these silly superhero movies and do a great reboot of Howard the Duck
Looks great. I think Christopher Nolan’s hand is involved in this one. Since he made the greatest movie trilogy, The Batman: Dark Knight films, based on a comic book ever, my sense is that this should be terrific.
A good friend of mine from college, Amir Mokri, is the director of photography on this.
