The Art of Tony Auth: To Stir, Inform and Inflame

I’ve known about Tony Auth for years now, but his work never ran in the papers I subscribed to so aside from a few that make the news, I haven’t had the opportunity to explore his work.

Camino Books, out of Philadelphia, has published a book “The Art of Tony Auth: To Stir, Inform and Inflame” that gives us a look at his career starting with early work about the Vietnam war in 1970 through his latest cartoons during the first Obama presidency. The foreword is by Jules Feiffer.

Tony retired earlier this year from the Philadelphia Inquirer. He’s still producing work for WHYY, the local PBS station.

  1. Tony was a big inspiration to me, plus I learned some good technical tricks from him. I definitely will want this book.
